Welcome to the Cofresco Forum
Cofresco Frischhalteprodukte GmbH & Co. KG founded the Cofresco Forum in 2001. Its aim is to drive the international exchange of knowledge between scientists and thus support research in the field of household packaging. The Cofresco Forum aims to utilize the lively and expert scientific networks which have been established in the previous years.

IPACK-IMA
From 28 February to 3 March 2012, the trade fair IPACK-IMA will be presenting technical solutions for every stage of the food and non-food production chain: processing, packaging, internal handling, logistics, warehousing and POS. Amongst other topics, the focus in the convention centre in Milano will be on innovative materials, the use of bio-plastics in food packaging, sustainability and food safety.

UPAKOVKA / UPAK ITALIA 2012
The Russian market for packaging is growing – and international suppliers who can provide innovative technologies and comprehensive service packages are in strong demand. With the 20th UPAKOVKA / UPAK ITALIA, the biggest industry event in this region will be opening its gates in Moscow from 24 to 27 January 2012. The international trade fair for plastics and rubber, INTERPLASTICA, will also be taking placing again at the same time.

Production and refinement of plastic packaging
A seminar at the KVJS Tagungszentrum in Herrenberg-Gültstein aims to provide the basics and numerous details on the theory and practice of plastic packaging on 14 and 15 February 2012. Besides basic knowledge on plastic as a material, the agenda also includes details on the production of packaging materials and the refinement of plastic packaging materials. The seminar will be rounded off by experiment demonstrations at the plastics laboratory in Stuttgart-Vaihingen.

Focus on sustainable food packaging
On 21 June 2011 the 7th Round Table of the Cofresco Forum took place in Vienna. This year’s event focussed on the topic “Sustainable Food Packaging: Innovations and Trends”. Scientists and industry experts discussed various aspects concerning the handling of food at home – with storage and preservation as well as preparation and waste. The event was hosted by the Cofresco Forum and its cooperation partners, the Austrian Research Institute for Chemistry and Technology (ofi) and the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt.
