Welcome to the Cofresco Forum
Cofresco Frischhalteprodukte GmbH & Co. KG founded the Cofresco Forum in 2001. Its aim is to drive the international exchange of knowledge between scientists and thus support research in the field of household packaging. The Cofresco Forum aims to utilize the lively and expert scientific networks which have been established in the previous years.

IPACK-IMA
From 28 February to 3 March 2012, the trade fair IPACK-IMA will be presenting technical solutions for every stage of the food and non-food production chain: processing, packaging, internal handling, logistics, warehousing and POS. Amongst other topics, the focus in the convention centre in Milano will be on innovative materials, the use of bio-plastics in food packaging, sustainability and food safety.

Processing Machines and Packaging Technology
Promoting a dialogue between science and industry – this is the aim of the “Processing Machines and Packaging Technology” symposium to be held in Dresden (Germany) on March 22 and 23, 2012. Functionally optimized materials and innovative processing technologies will be among the main topics. This year’s symposium also includes its first-ever user forum, where young scientists and their colleagues are invited to exchange thoughts with industry experts.

German Packaging Congress
The German Packaging Congress 2012 will be opening its doors in Berlin (Germany) under the motto “Well packaged. Well connected. Well informed” on March 22 and 23. Lectures and discussion rounds will deal with topics such as retail trends, sustainability and new packaging concepts. Participants will also have the chance to take a look behind the scenes at Coca-Cola Erfrischungsgetränke AG or WILD Flavors Berlin GmbH & Co. KG.

Focus on sustainable food packaging
On 21 June 2011 the 7th Round Table of the Cofresco Forum took place in Vienna. This year’s event focussed on the topic “Sustainable Food Packaging: Innovations and Trends”. Scientists and industry experts discussed various aspects concerning the handling of food at home – with storage and preservation as well as preparation and waste. The event was hosted by the Cofresco Forum and its cooperation partners, the Austrian Research Institute for Chemistry and Technology (ofi) and the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt.
